Message from the Head of Secondary

A very warm welcome to Kuwait National English School Secondary Department. We provide students with a genuinely welcoming start to secondary education. I am proud of the students and staff who make our community the progressive and creative place it is.
We see every student as an individual with their own needs and aspirations and strive to insure they each achieve their full potential.  Students of all abilities and backgrounds enjoy their education because of good teaching and a supportive learning environment. Success is measured not only in academic achievement but also in terms of personal growth in maturity, the development of social awareness, self-discipline and motivation, and mutual respect.
Kuwait National English School is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC). We recognize that students need to become independent learners with the necessary learning skills for the 21st century in an ever changing world. To this end technology plays an important role. Our state of the art equipment continues to develop and support academic achievement.
The physical space consists of three buildings, which include three Science laboratories (Omar Science Lab I, II & III), two computer labs (Omar Computer Lab I & II), along with specialist Art Studio (Omar Performing Art Centre), Music Lab, sports areas (in-door gymnasium, in-door Olympic size swimming pool, basketball court and football court) and the Al-Farabi Theatre.
Above all we want our students to develop as responsible members of our society with a passion for learning so that they can lead an enjoyable and fulfilling life. The school promotes an international environment in which it is considered natural to help and support others within the school, and to give service to the wider community.
