The school campus is spacious and very secure with three large play
areas for different age groups.
There are always teachers on duty during break times as well
as at the start of the school day and when the classes finish.
For
little ones, there is an extensive early years area with a wide
range of equipment to develop motor skills with special art room,
video room and a hall.
The
classrooms for all age groups are spacious all with air-conditioning
(heating and cooling). Some
specific classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors, but all
of them can be provided with audio and videocassette recorder,
television and other audio visual
equipment.
Emphasis
is given through IT throughout the curriculum and computers are used
as a permanent tool. The
school has wide computer facilities and digitized scientific
equipment.
The
Early Years Department has its own computer lab.Computer systems
linked to a laser printer with a matrix viewer, Specific educational
programs which are linked to the National Curriculum are available
to gear the needs of specific age groups.
The
junior students have their own computer lab with high
performance Mac computers networked to a laser printer, a digital
camera, and a colour flatbed scanner and have access to all the
latest software.
Tthe “OMAR”
Computer laboratory has been opened in 1999 with the
latest PC (Pentium III), which allow our senior students to prepare
well for their IGCSE computer studies or any research they may need
to fulfill in any other area of the curriculum.

In
1999 the school has been entirely networked, administration
offices, library, the "OMAR" Computer Laboratory and the
common room for A-Level and staff rooms. E-mail was installed in the library for the use of the
students to have access to various information that they need for
their research as well as in the “OMAR” Computer Laboratory
(see page related to the recent developments with the “OMAR”
Computer Laboratory and “OMAR” Science Laboratory In our

The
school has modern laboratories for biology, physics and chemistry
with all the equipment necessary for students and teachers to make
experiments appropriate to their studies in the science field (see
in our website the recent developments with the “OMAR” Science

As
the school gives a large place to the practice of sport, we have
superb facilities:

A full size gymnasium, which has a volleyball court,
basketball court and
badminton court as well as handball.

The school is taking pride also in its Olympic style indor
Swimming Pool with
heating and cooling system of the water.
There are individual shower units and
changing rooms with toilets separate for boys and girls.

Our P.E. facilities also comprise of outdoor courts for tennis,
basketball, volleyball, badminton and 5-a-side football pitch
available in the premises.

The school has its own Mosque that has been entirely
renovated recently

A spacious cafeteria is run by a outside company
providing excellent fresh food daily for students and staff such as
sandwiches, pastries, spaghetti, pizza and salads.
Students enjoy their lunchtime inside the cafeteria.
A teacher is always on duty inside the cafeteria.
The cafeteria has been totally renovated during the summer
2000 (see our additional web page).

A large theatre with fully equipped stage and changing
facilities is available to match our curriculum which aims to
develop the creative and artistic skills of students through
different forms of expression, music, drama, etc...

A special SEN unit fully independent with their own
facilities is set up inside the campus to provide a relevant
education for students with learning difficulties. Brand new classes have been built over the summer 2000 (see
our additional web pages) .

Specialist
people are available on our campus to help to achieve our goals:
- A full time nurse is
employed on the school premises to attend to any medical problems
and accidents that may occur.
- A full time librarian
is also available to help students to find appropriate information
or books necessary in their studies and projects.
We have also a full section of French and Arabic books.
Computers with CD-ROMS and E-mail are also available in the
library for students or staff.
Many periodicals in all subjects for students and staff as
well are available to keep up to date and help them in their
research.

Our Career Guidance Counselor is appointed to advise
students in their options according to the field of their further
studies.
- ESL teachers are
available to provide extra help to students new to English language
or need to consolidate their knowledge in the language.
- ASL specialist
teacher gives lessons of Arabic to the non-Arabic children these
students are taught in groups of two or three students to meet the
specific level of each.

A Career Counselor is also available for the senior
student with information
about universities in the Middle East, Europe and in the States.
This counselor is there any time for interviewing students to
help them in their choice with IGCSE options and advice for their
further studies according to the career they wish to adopt or
according to their ability. Regular
visitors from various institutions in Kuwait and abroad are invited
to talk to our senior students.

A Language Pathologist
has been recently appointed, this appointment followed the recent
development of the Special Needs Department and this will strengthen
educational support towards students with difficulties in this field
(see additional web page).
- The school has its own transport
service and provides transportation in mini buses fully
air-conditioned with seat belts, to any area in Kuwait.
- An assistant or a maid is on duty
morning and afternoon in these buses to take care of young
students.
- Teachers are always on duty
during break times, at all entrances before school and at the
end of the school day. The
staff takes a pride in the school campus to supervise the students
and to deal with any discipline matters and any incidents that may
occur.
- The uniform shop on the campus
is open every day, including Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m.

A stationery shop is also located on the school campus
for the convenience of the students.

All members of staff working in the administration are fully
bilingual to help welcome prospective parents to get any
information needed.

Ancillary staff – an electrician, a plumber and a
carpenter are always on duty on the premises.

The school has a contract with an outside company for maintenance
of the swimming pool.
-
Four maids and
four workers are also working on the premises.
The maids are on duty near the toilets.
-
Security men are always on duty at the gate, and they
also control traffic in front of the school when it opens and
closes.
