"To prepare students our for better success"

The "OMAR Centre" science Laboratory at Kuwait National English School in Hawally has a suite of specialist laboratories for each of the sciences and offers newly acquired data-logging equipment. This equipment allows students to automatically follow  changes in temperature, humidity, light, sound, ph, etc. by connecting the data-logger and its sensors into the computers of the newly developed IT suite.  In addition we offer the latest Crocodile Clips software in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and IT that allows students and teachers to recreate experiments, model mathematical theories or simulate real life situations quickly and easily.  They are virtual laboratories and immersive experiences which engage student interest and enthusiasm during lesson time.

The "OMAR Computer Laboratory", has been added to existing computer facilities which is equipped with IBM computers. The "OMAR" Laboratory includes the latest Pentium IV PC's which allow students to have access to the recently launched Microsoft hi speed educational software. Each student has individual access to a computer in order to maximise their learning.

Students are encouraged at Kuwait National English School in Hawally to develop their skills by utilising the suite's word processing, spread sheet and desk top  facilities as well as printing off work for project portfolios.  Particular emphasis has been placed designing the new IT suite to meet the needs of the IGCSE and A-level students. Close   liaison within the school  between Mathmatics, Science, Business Studies and Economics Departments has resulted in the introduction of cross-curricular schemes to promote IT for the teaching of topics at IGCSE and A-Level and as well as at Primary Level.

The networked system allows students to conduct research for project work or pursue their extra-curricular interests at the daily computer clubs. To build upon the success of last year's encouraging IGCSE results, Kuwait National School, in Hawally has introduced a wide range of A-Levels.
