Kuwait National English School organized an educational overseas trip to Italy. Once again after a gap of 2 years students got the opportunity to explore, experience and expand their understanding of different cultures. The tour took place from the 25^th of February to the 2^nd of March 2023. A group of 25 enthusiastic students set off on a 6-day visit to the eternal city of Rome and beautiful Venice. The spectacular sight of Rome still mesmerizes you with the glory of an ancient civilization. Students visited the Colosseum and learned the history surrounding this awe-inspiring monument. Other places of interest included the Trevi fountain, Novona Square, the Pantheon and Spanish Steps. Students learned about ancient Rome and its culture. No visit to Italy is complete without a visit to Vatican City. Students spent a whole day there visiting the museums and sightseeing through the streets of the world’s smallest state. The team then headed to Venice, the Floating City. Students explored the numerous pathways and canals while enjoying a boat (Gondola) ride and learning the history of trade and commerce in Venice. Students also visited St Mark's Square and the Bridge of Sighs. A highlight of the day in Venice was the visit to an old glass factory which produces the world-famous Murano glass, renowned for the original products they produce through skilled craftsmen who have learned the trade from their forefathers. Students were able to see some amazing pieces of glasswork and purchase them directly from the store.

A wonderful trip where memories were created. We continue to enhance learning at KNES through these overseas trips.
